Kumar chokshanada sangakkara is a former Sri Lankan cricket player and the former president of marylebone cricket club(England) better known as MCC president.


Kumar Sangakkara known as one of the greatest batsmens in the history of the cricket Sangakkara has scored 28000+ runs on international cricket and still he is the second highest run scorer in one day international cricket.


He started his journey in 2000 as a wicket keeper batsman. After couple of years the Sri lankan cricket board decided to move him as a top order batsman. Moving Sangakkara to the top order was one of the greatest decisions Sri Lanka cricket ever took. After the promotion Sangakkara managed to show the world what he is capable of.


Sangakkara better known as (Sanga) holds many records here is few of them. Is the most run getter for Sri Lanka and he is the only man in the world to score 4 centuries in 4 matches, Sangakkara and mahela jayawardene as the biggest partnership(which is 627) in cricket history. Also he holds the record for the most wicket keeping this dismissals in ODI cricket.


Kumar Sangakkara was part of the team that made the final of 2014 ICC world Twenty20 tournament and he won the man of the match award in the finals which helped shrilanka to get over the line.


Sangakkara retired from T20s after winning the final against India. After a year (2015) he retired from all three formats

saying his innings is over...
